My Story
I joined the Scentsy family on January 24, 2014. Looking back I am not even sure why I did; as I tend to over analyze everrryyything. All I know is that I was sick and tired of watching my sponsor, Christina Stainbrook, live and achieve her dreams when I wasn't. I wanted to be apart of something bigger too. I had won several awards in my community for "Best Server in Madison County" , I had celebrated my 10 year anniversary in working for a company... and my boss hadnt even blinked in my direction...Whereas, Christina was able to stay at home with her kid, and travel WITH her husband at the hand of Scentsy, all while "getting paid to party!" She had this overwhelming amount of gratitude for the company she worked for and expressed that they had the same gratitude back for her. I was the sole provider for my family and wasn't sure how I was going to add another thing onto my plate, but I was bound and determined to make it work to have these same opportunities. I wanted something for me, something that was only mine. See... I was a mom of a 9 month old baby and not even my body had been mine for nearly two years. I was starving for SOMETHING. Something that made me feel like I could accomplish things. Something that made me feel good about myself, like I was good at something, and something I could be proud of myself for. So I joined Scentsy and told myself that I would NEVER do home parties. I didnt want to talk in front of crowds... Very soon I was overwhelmed with the same gratitude that I had observed in my sponsor. Within the first week I had planned an amazing launch party and was well on my way. In ONE week of working for Scentsy I made a couple times OVER what I had just invested with my starter kit! Imagine that. I didn't throw my money into a black hole! I had invested it! Over the next several months I didn't want to burden people with talking over my new excitement... I changed my perspective... I decided to share instead of brag, and I decided to bless instead of burden... Scentsy has given me confidence, has given me the tools to talk in public in front of an audience... See, I have dropped out of speech class 4 separate times because i was TERRIFIED to speak in front of people. Within a few short months, I had become a party queen. I wasnt happy unless I had a party booked for every weekend. I love to talk Scentsy. This is what made me realize that Scentsy is a personal growth business. And EVERY single person in the company is cheering you on. Any dream you have... Any obstacle you want to overcome... ANYTHING you want to do... you have a huge community supporting you along the way; your team, your sponsor, your customers, ANY staff member of Scentsy family, Heidi and Orville.... they all support you. Scentsy's integrity, generosity, and authenticity is way more than I had ever anticipated in joining a direct sales company. This company is way more than wax and warmers. It changes your life. If you allow the attitude of gratitude, change your perspective, to share not sell, and to realize that ALL of your relationships matter amongst a MILLION other things that this company has to over you... it can change YOUR LIFE, not just your bank account.
